SPOTLIGHT ON THEATRE

BRINGING DRAMA TO LUTHERAN HIGH
Lutheran High School of Sioux Falls' Drama Club, The Royal Eagle Company, began during the 2015-2016 school year thanks to assistance from Mr. Austin Albers and Mrs. Heidi Albers. Students performed the one-act, "Rapunzel Uncut", a humorous show during Spring Fling with the Arts. This production was the springboard for the creation of the Theatre Department at Lutheran High.
Theatre is an extra-curricular activity which allows our students to be creative, explore emotions and viewpoints, become more confident in who they are, and ultimately have fun together! There are many ways to be involved in the dramatic arts: acting, directing, lighting, sound, costumes, set design, prop work, choreography, and more!
Lutheran High is part of the SDHSAA and competes in the one-act competitions held in January in South Dakota. Lutheran High students enjoy working together in creating productions for audiences to enjoy, praising God by using the talents He has given to them!
