Congratulations to LHSSF freshmen Hope Dunkle and Sarah Rokusek! These two young women
have been recognized by The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2018, presented by the University of South Dakota.
A panel of writers and creative professionals selected Hope’s flash fiction piece, “An Unknown Power,” and Sarah’s flash fiction piece, “Change is Dangerous,” as exemplar of the three core criteria of The Scholastic Awards: originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice. Both writing selections were awarded Honorable Mention! Congrats again to Hope and Sarah for a remarkable
achievement and milestone in their creative endeavors!
