Lutheran High Tours Washington D.C.
At Lutheran High, we strive to create rewarding, learning experiences for our students. Lutheran High School Social Studies teachers Austin Albers and Anna Kooistra teamed up with EF Student Tours and hopped on a plane bound for the East Coast this past June! The group included 7th-12th grade students from SFLS and LHSSF, as well as one first-year college LHSSF alumnus, making 21 overall. The teachers were very pleased with the excellent turnout to inaugurate their first tour and hope to make EF tours like these a semi-annual tradition. Students visited the National Archives, the Smithsonian Museum, Ford's Theater, Arlington National Cemetery, the beautifully preserved grounds of Mt. Vernon, as well as all the memorials scattered about our nation's capital--and even a wax museum! Thanks for all of your support and prayers as the tour went safely and according to plan. Lutheran High is proud to be able to give its students lifetime opportunities such as these, and looks forward to bringing more in the future!
