Lutheran High Receives Awards for "The Struggles"
Lutheran High received 2nd place at the Class B-Region 1 One-Act Contest held Thursday, January 26th at the Brandon Performing Arts Center. Allyson Thuringer and Jacob Zweifel received superior acting awards for their performances at this contest! Due to their 2nd place finish at the Region Contest,
Lutheran High qualified to perform at the SDHSAA 2017 State One-Act Festival in Aberdeen on Friday, February 3rd. Our actors all received acting awards for their performances!
The “Struggles” were recognized for “Superior Ensemble Acting”. Included in this ensemble was Arryanna Rosburg, Kaitlin Johnson, Jacob Zweifel, Jaylie Maier, Ethan Aker, Rebecca Tjeerdsma, and Maleigh Noble. Allyson Thuringer received a “Superior Individual Acting” award for her portrayal of “Megan,” the teenager who battles against her struggles with Dyslexia and ADD.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS to all of the cast, crew, and directors of “The Struggles” for their hard work and dedication over this one-act season! What a great first year for competitive theatre at Lutheran High!
