Lutheran High Receives Awards at the State One-Act Festival

Lutheran High competed at the State One-Act Festival this past week and awards were presented Saturday evening, February 2nd. All actors in the cast received acting awards for their performances!

The "censored/masked" group were recognized for "Superior Ensemble Acting". Included in this ensemble were Ethan Aker, Maddy Peters, and Ainsley Swanstrom.

All other cast members received "Superior Individual Acting" awards, which included: Hope Dunkle, Kaitlin Johnson, Oscar Kooistra, Reilly Nelson, Colin Thuringer, Elizabeth Ascher, Emma Taylor, and Arryanna Rosburg.

Lutheran High's "CENSORED", directed by Heidi and Austin Albers, was also awarded a plaque for "Superior Play" in Class B!

About the Lutheran High Drama Club

The Lutheran High Drama Club was started in the spring semester of 2016 by Mr. Austin Albers and Mrs. Heidi Albers. With input from the founding students, the theatre group was named, “The Royal Eagle Company.” In its third season, the group has earned both individual and ensemble awards, and has already performed at the State level of competition.
